Ksenia Achkasova, Executive Director of MediascopeKsenia graduated from the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Lomonosov Moscow State University. She has been working for the company since 1997, in fact since the launch of the TV measurement system in Russia. Since 2008 she held the position as a director of TV research at the company. Since March 1, 2019, she has headed the Directorate of Research, which combines data production, service sales, customer service and the development of new technological solutions and products in strategic areas for the company. Jacinto Roca (Barcelona, Gavà, 1976) is a Spanish entrepreneur and cofounder of video-on-demand platform Wuaki.tv (2009) and current CEO of Rakuten TV (2012). Roca graduated at ESADE Business & Law School and at PIM International Management UCLA. He started his career in 1999 as a telecom strategic consultant at Diamond Cluster and in 2005 he founded the company SouthWing, working as a VP of Sales & Marketing.
While Roca was living and working in the USA, he noticed that entertainment consumption was changing and believed that the future of content distribution could be disrupted by internet-enabled TVs. With this vision, he founded Wuaki.tv in 2009, the first Smart TV native video-on-demand platform in Spain, long before these connected devices entered most homes in Europe. Roca has always believed in the disruption of the entertainment industry, as a revolution of both technological platforms for video-on-demand content, and in movie consumption habits, changing the timings of the industry and working closely with Hollywood studios to shorten theatrical release windows.
In 2012, connected by a deep belief in the value of empowerment, Wuaki.tv became part of Rakuten, the Japanese internet giant led by Hiroshi Mikitani. Since then Wuaki.tv has expanded to 42 countries, becoming one of the leading video-on-demand platforms in Europe. In July 2017, the company was rebranded from Wuaki.tv to Rakuten TV, led by Roca as CEO.
Grégory Samak – Molotov’s Managing Director , A graduate of ESCP and Sciences-Po, Grégory Samak is one of the pillars of the creation of BFMTV as Managing Director and has over 22 years of experience in Television. Within the AB Group, he became successively Director of the President’s office, Director of Institutional Relations and Director of the DTT project. Appointed General Manager of the new channel NT1 (now TFX), he participated in the acquisition of TMC by the AB group in collaboration with the TF1 group.
Francesco Barbarani, Director of the Radio, Digital and Cinema Area at Rai Pubblicità, boasts consolidated experience in the digital world. Then she led the business planning activity of Mindshare media agency before launching the insights and measure department of RelevanC, the data company of Casino group. Passionate about media and data, Emmanuelle joined Canal+ Brand Solutions, the advertising sales house of the pay TV operator Canal+ Group, one year ago to develop the addressable TV advertising and data-driven solutions around data-planning and TV effectiveness optimization.
